Margi was wearing an armful of dresses when we addressed her at the top of rue de Turenne, opposite Jacques Genin's chocolate factory.
So obviously we followed suit and asked questions – even though our parents always forbade us from following strangers.
If this giant, wearing a matching cap and shorts, was there it is because he runs the second address of Nice Piece, a boutique in Haut-Marais, known for its superb collection of vintage clothing, located at 15 rue Commines.
Margi, whose essential look is a clever layering of military pieces and work clothes, likes to wear second-hand clothes because one of her hobby is the history of clothes.
For the stylist, in addition to being ethical consumption, old clothes tell a story, even with stains, even with holes.
Also an event artistic director, the man with the GI look organizes the Makeitclap Paris and Sunday Grove evenings at Wonderlust and is part of Marché Noir, a group of bargain hunters for “old” clothes.
