One fine day, sitting at a café terrace, you see a couple pass by who seems charming to you and who, seen from afar, seem to embody the French spirit wonderfully, a notion, it is true, subjective to say the least... and here you are running after them to ask them if they would agree to pose for the “street look” section of Marais Mood. Their answer is yes.
While they let themselves be photographed as a family, Paul tells us that he himself is a top photographer: the ads for Yves Saint-Laurent or Victor & Rolf perfumes are him. Laurence is a stylist. From the Marais, they love the village spirit and also the breakfasts at the Le Progrès café. Niki, their baby, is not working yet. But he is already – they say – a neighborhood figure. Local mascot, he is apparently the unofficial ambassador of Progress.

The best tattoo parlors in Marais
Tattooing, an age-old practice, has long been the prerogative of convicts, dock workers, the underworld and sailors. Although it has become democratized, now affecting all profiles and concerning one in five French people, including 16% women compared to 10% men, it still remains taboo due to its definitive and transgressive nature.
