Before Christmas, rue de Bretagne will go from two to one lane of traffic for cars. This is to allow the creation of a contraflow cycle path on the north side of the street (opposite the Marché des Enfants-Rouges).

This development, which will go from rue de Turenne to rue des Archives – that is to say at the corner of the town hall – will measure two meters wide. It will cost 300 euros. It will also result in the loss of 000 paid parking spaces.

“Three new Davioud double-seat benches will be added to the three already present”, tells us Le Parisien which adds: “If the residents are rather favorable to the new developments, the traders seem more circumspect. » As elsewhere in Paris, some fear that the reduction in car traffic will cause traffic jams.
