Human & Tea tea boxes
100 teas, all round. And all organic! This is what we find in the library – that’s what they call their shelves – of Nathalie and Daniel Cotte. Established in the Marais for almost a year, the founders of Human & Tea talk about tea like others talk about wine.
“Tea is a question of terroir; it is never the same from one place to another, nor from one year to the next. And the intervention of the gardener counts as much as the winegrower who raises the vines,” assures this couple who worked in food marketing for a long time before saying goodbye to the world of multinationals to open a modern and sophisticated tea house.

With a teapot at hand, they explain: “For our part, we favor small plots of land, for example in Vietnam, Sri Lanka or Laos. When possible, we assist in the picking and processing of the tea. An unforgettable spectacle! »
In Paris, Nathalie has an infectious passion for tea, lets customers taste her blends and offers a variety of accessories: teapots, filters, carafes for iced tea, bombillas for Argentinian mate, cups, bowls, double-walled glass, etc.

“When there is tea left in my teapot, I pour it over my roast, it serves as broth,” says epicurean Nathalie Cotte, inexhaustible on the subject. “65% of French people drink tea,” she says, before tackling the mapping of the most consumed drink in the world, after water: “Tea is geopolitics: Koreans cultivate and prepare tea. them like the Japanese while the Vietnamese and Laotians do it like the Chinese. »
Then she discusses the virtues of tea and herbal teas, rich in antioxidants and good for the intestinal flora. “Rooibos prevents cancer, chamomile fights insomnia and peppermint soothes headaches. » In short, 100 teas are good for your health.
