The Olympic Games: One Year Later

A year after the Olympic Games and their wow factor, we still haven't gotten over their immense success, the jubilation, and the cohesion this all-too-ephemeral magic brought us. Especially since the Marais Mood team witnessed this event on the Marais's outlying bridge: Île Saint-Louis.

We saw the horse and its rider emerge from the Seine, the dancers at our feet, the planes drawing a red heart in the sky of the Marais, a blue, white and red curtain that reminded us of the beauty and grandeur of our imperfect country, but capable of uniting sometimes without a single misstep.

These Games, which generated nearly 9 billion euros in direct and indirect benefits in the Île-de-France region, temporarily boosted growth, employment and the modernization of infrastructure.

During this period, Paris welcomed more than 3 million visitors. During the Games, the capital revived its tourist life, and its global visibility as an exceptional "showcase," thanks to the broadcasting of the events, reinforced its attractiveness in the medium term.
