Sébastien Mehal at the Hoang Beli gallery
Between urban vibes and introspection, Sébastien Méhal transforms the city into a mirror of itself. In the Marais, at the Hoang Beli Gallery, who are " City in Self-Portrait "mixes faces, architectures and colours to tell the story of our identities in motion, between chaos, beauty and contemporary energy.
Sébastien Méhal develops a body of work at the crossroads of architecture, portraiture and abstraction. Trained in Paris, he has been exploring for several years the transformations of the contemporary city, considered as a space that is both physical and social, where anonymity, hybridity and the circulation of identities play out.

The pictorial material, often projected or injected, conveys a tension between urban chaos and the quest for harmony. Between abstraction and figuration, the French painter, born in Martinique, sketches an expanded self-portrait, that of a contemporary individual shaped by the flows, encounters, and density of the urban world. The exhibition thus invites us to see the city not as a backdrop, but as a sensitive mirror reflecting our evolving identities.
