Valentine's Day, a quintessential commercial holiday, remains a precious excuse to celebrate love in everyday life. Between obligatory candlelit dinners and standardized gifts, it playfully reminds us that what truly matters is paying attention to our partner: a tender gesture, a kind word, a stolen moment. Even under the guise of marketing, it encourages us to express who we truly are, to create memories that last far beyond February 14th. Here are a few ideas to make a lasting impression on your loved one.

Nobisan
a temaki bar for a play kitchen

Nobisan

Nobisan ticks all the boxes for a perfect Valentine's Day address. This little gem in the Marais, all in black granite and amber oak, creates an intimate, almost secret atmosphere, ideal for a tête-à-tête dinner.

The long counter allows you to share the spectacle of the four sushi chefs working in silence, like jewelers, in front of you: charred salmon temaki, melting akami tuna temaki, small plates to nibble on between two, everything invites sharing.

The exceptional ingredients – Ariake seaweed, carefully selected Japanese rice, fish sourced in France – lend the meal a refined, yet understated, quality. Homemade mochi with yuzu or Valrhona white chocolate and black sesame extend the experience. rendez-vous on a sweet note, very much a "dessert for two".

With its subdued lighting, refined tableware and attentive service, Nobi-san offers the perfect setting for a sophisticated yet warm Valentine's Day evening.

Little Biceps
a toned little booty
Little botty massage, Little Biceps
In a pretty massage studio opening onto a courtyard on Rue du Temple, Emmanuelle Rodeghiero, founder of Little Biceps, welcomes clients like a good friend with expert gestures.

A former journalist turned wellness expert, she and her team of six massage therapists are excellent at providing targeted treatments that transform body and mind with a variety of approaches. Lymphatic drainage: rhythmic pumping and long strokes stimulate the lymph nodes, eliminating toxins and swelling. Facial contour treatment: pinching and smoothing lift the oval of the face. Intraoral massage: gloved fingers knead the masticatory muscles from the inside to release tension in the jaw, cheeks, etc.

Since I had to choose, I opted for the Little Botty treatment, which combines anti-cellulite massage and acupressure. Firm movements alternate between deep pressure and vibrations to penetrate the tissues, sculpt the figure, eliminate toxins, and stimulate lymphatic circulation. Emmanuelle's skilled hands work on the thighs, knees, and buttocks, breaking down fatty fibers, draining stagnation, and activating lipolysis. This massage, as deep as it is gentle, is effective for eliminating toxins and strengthening the immune system.

Clearly identifying as a feminist, Emmanuelle encourages women to take care of their bodies more often, to age better and feel beautiful: "Pay attention to your feelings: weight gain, recurring minor ailments... Because your body doesn't lie, and if you don't listen to it, it will always catch up with you."

You leave the session with relaxed muscles, a reshaped silhouette, top-notch energy, confident, light, boosted, in a state of perfect levitation before a date.

Comme à Lisbonne
A colorful duo for moments of shared intimacy.
Costa Nova
We all know the sublime pastéis de nata that this establishment has made its home; what's less well known is that it also carries a selection of products made in Portugal. Like these fine stoneware espresso cups that showcase Portuguese craftsmanship. This noble ceramic material, handcrafted in family workshops, offers a velvety, matte texture and resistance to thermal shock, perfect for everyday use or precious coffee breaks.

The stoneware exudes an authentic warmth to the touch, retains heat without burning the lips, and develops a subtle patina over time. Available in espresso or lungo sizes, they shine in vibrant colors – deep blue, olive green, anthracite gray, pure white, warm ochre – with unique nuances due to the reactive glaze.

Pleasant to hold, compatible with everyday use, they make a perfect Valentine's Day gift: to offer as a matching or mismatched duo, to create a coffee tête-à-tête that is as aesthetic as it is delicious.

Deeya
a surprise aperitif

Love Potion, MAH x Deeya Paris

When a brand offers an exotic Love Potion in a fitting shade of pink, we rush to try it. It's Deeya, a house dedicated to fashion, decor, and photography of contemporary India, that's behind this delightful initiative, having created, with its partner Mah-Spirit, a cocktail inspired by the famous Negroni.

This Indian spirit is the only one in the world distilled from naturally sweet flowers of the mahua, or Madhuca, a sacred tree with strong mystical connotations. During the British colonial period, Europeans banned its consumption, accusing it of spreading "dangerous thoughts" among those who overindulged. Suffice it to say, it has all the hallmarks of a transgressive beverage, perfect for spicing up a Valentine's Day: pink, aromatic, steeped in history and desire. A sensual and slightly rebellious toast, to be shared by two.

The Lady of Paris
create an adorable nun

Nun The Lady of Paris
In the heart of the Île de la Cité, a stone's throw from Notre-Dame Cathedral, the restaurant La Dame de Paris celebrates Valentine's Day with a sweet creation: a religieuse that combines French pastry tradition with a contemporary and romantic touch.

Beneath its glossy vanilla fondant coating, the craquelin choux pastry reveals a red praline center, an homage to passion. Its smooth vanilla and almond milk cream evokes the sweetness of a kiss exchanged on the banks of the Seine.

This gourmet creation is by Laurent Martinet, the restaurant's chef. It is available in the restaurant, plated for €12, or to take away from the shop-grocery store located opposite the bistro, for €7 (add €1 if eating in).
