In the heart of the Marais, the Galleria Continua is hosting the exhibition “Descendencia” byOsvaldo González, a rising figure on the contemporary Cuban scene.
Born in Camagüey in 1982, a graduate of the Higher Institute of Art in Havana, Osvaldo González explores space as others question memory: his installations and paintings, often made from adhesive tape on plexiglass, transform everyday life into a poetic experience.

In "Descendencia," the artist explores filiation, transmission, and intimacy through familiar architectures, windows opening onto interior and exterior worlds. The omnipresent light sculpts the volumes and invites us to dream: each room becomes a threshold between reality and imagination, between Cuba and Paris. González gives a new autonomy to objects and spaces, blurring the lines between installation, painting, and sculpture.

Far from ordinary, González's work is touching in its ability to reveal the emotional charge of places, to bring the ordinary to life. An exhibition not to be missed in the Marais for anyone interested in contemporary art, the poetry of space, and the international art scene.
