At the top of rue des Archives, a little before rue de Bretagne, this small Japanese restaurant that we visited on July 10, after confinement, offers delightful tapas.

Deco: Elegant and warm, the decoration signed by the Ucrhonia architectural firm hits the mark. The exposed stone walls contrast with another wall made of accumulations of old vases. The brown leather seats in front of the black tables and the large white marble counter are comfortable and placed on a raw cement floor.

Atmosphere: Intimate with just the right amount of sophistication. The young team working around the tables takes great care. Good vibe.

Kitchen: Modeled on the izakaya (bistro in Japanese), we enjoy medium portions of delicious dishes with a twist of Spanish inspiration and washed down with a fine selection of sake, beers, tea or natural wines.

In the kitchen: Issac Romero (ex- Holiday Cafe) and Risa Ichimaru (ex- Soba Shelter) reign supreme here. The tandem prepares its dishes with ultra-fresh products according to the day's arrival.

The command : White peach salad, katsuobushi (slices of dried bonito), crunchy samphire / Fatty tuna tartare with trout roe, wasabi cream and ponzu sauce seasoned with yuzu and jalapeno / Plate of tuna and salmon maki / Toro tuna Katsu / Tarte Tatin with black sesame and raw cream.

Is it good ? Delicious, delicate. The salty, tangy and sweet flavors explode in the mouth. Everything is balanced. The dishes are interpreted accurately.

Which table? The middle table on the right, for 2 people. Placed in front of the stone wall, with its back to the porcelain vases, it is positioned between two tables of 4.

Customers : Young art dealers, smart people from the neighborhood and elsewhere, fashionistas.

Oysters and fish: P'tit Mousse knows his job

Why bother going to Wepler or La Coupole, when there is P'tit Mousse? Both an oyster bar and a fish restaurant, this address on Rue Rambuteau advantageously replaces the Parisian brasseries on Place Clichy and Boulevard Montparnasse.
