At least things are clear. With a name like that, the Sinner, that is to say the sinner (and not the angler), is a clear incitement to commit carnal sin. In times of Covid, this remains possible because this luxury hotel, glamorous and mysterious, remains open during the pandemic.
In one of the oldest streets in Paris, Rue du Temple, this establishment welcomes aesthetes from 410 euros per night, in a decor designed by interior architect and designer Tristan Auer. The latter sums up the spirit of the place in one sentence: “A beautiful place is a place that makes you beautiful”.
The arty, sexy, esoteric atmosphere plays with the codes of the religious order of Templars (which was located right next door, between the Temple metro station and the 3rd town hall). And, behind the knocker doors, there are many surprises: some rooms have four-poster beds, like in the Justine room – an allusion to the Marquis de Sade –; others offer circular beds, James Bond style.
Here, we open a cupboard and come across erotic engravings from the XNUMXth century. Elsewhere, at the bar for example, the atmosphere has something sacred, with its candles and stained glass windows. Everything happens in a subtle chiaroscuro, coated with a light scent of incense.
The hotel is also ideally located, a stone's throw from the Saint-Elisabeth-of-Hungary church, an extension of rue du Temple. In case some people feel the need to go to confession.
