“He who masters odors, masters the heart of humanity,” wrote Patrick Süskind in his famous historical novel The Perfume. Perfumer Lyn Harris intends to control the heart of Paris by opening her first boutique outside of London in the Marais, at 64, rue Vieille-du-Temple.
After Miller Harris, which she founded in 2000 and left in 2017, the British woman, well known in the world of perfumery for her “niche perfumes”, returns to the “game” with her eponymous and ultra-chic brand.

The decor plays minimalist elegance. It is a space with greige walls covered with light wooden bookcases where we offer around fifty fragrances available in perfumes, eau de Cologne, candles, soaps and incense, all enhanced with natural raw materials.
Here, the hostess gives a real demonstration of her know-how acquired from the Robertet house and star master perfumer Monique Schlienger. Featuring precious raw materials. Bergamot, petit grain, lemon, rose or iris absolute merge with your choice of vetiver, juniper and cedar wood, papyrus, tonka, lavender, cardamom, incense , cloves, etc.

Everything is wrapped in simple names that evoke olfactory landscapes: Rain cloud, Water lili, Dandelion, Moss, Charcoal, etc.
In her book Pot-Pourri, published recently, the journalist specializing in perfumes Maïté Turonnet (Elle, Libération, L'Express) reports this correspondence from Madame de Sévigné, who lived on Place des Vosges. “They sent me an essence which heals, consoles and perfects everything and which smells perfectly good. It is divine, I get drunk on it every day: I have it in my pocket. It’s madness like tobacco: when you’re used to it, you can’t do without it” (October 16, 1675). That's it: we can't do without it anymore.
