We knew it well, the bookseller La Mouette Rieuse doesn't mess around when it comes to making us want to read. The proof on his site, or a sentence which does not lack seriousness warns its readers young and old:

“This is not a bookstore but a real place of life: the bookstore, its café, its gallery and its pop-up stores form a mischievous and subtle intermingling.”

And it's not about to stop! This cultural concept store located in the heart of the historic Marais aims to “reinvent access to books”. In this multidisciplinary space all worlds jostle to arouse the pleasure of words that any curious person can savor on the cover of a work of art, literature or history and even practical life.

Peck from one table to another a selection of children's authors, grab an award-winning and coveted book from a shelf, before settling down in your coffee to leaf through it with relish.

These escapades are currently prohibited because according to some, books are not to be classified among basic necessities... the bookseller will not let us starve!

Let it be said, on this site intended for all moments of life, we have naturally thought of the youngest who need a good helping of alphabet books to grow up. As easy said as it is done.

Simply choose from the categories, from the most general to the favorites of your booksellers, then place an order for all types of books and educational games and finally choose to collect them in store, or have them delivered. Child's play !

Almonds, walnuts and peanuts: Rifai, the king of nuts

It's high time to take peanuts seriously! This nut has not always been treated with the respect due to its rank. Fortunately, Rifai, who succeeds the A la Ville de Rodez food store which has been located on rue Vieille-du-Temple for a century, is there to right this injustice.

The best tattoo parlors in Marais

Tattooing, an age-old practice, has long been the prerogative of convicts, dock workers, the underworld and sailors. Although it has become democratized, now affecting all profiles and concerning one in five French people, including 16% women compared to 10% men, it still remains taboo due to its definitive and transgressive nature.
