Visit the Marais with Axel who lives there.

Visiting the Marais alone and having a pleasant time is perfectly possible. But you risk missing out on the essentials. With a guide—especially one who lives in the neighborhood—new horizons open up. You'll see the architecture with a different eye, discover picturesque streets and secret passages, and venture into cozy cafes and little-known churches. And you'll better understand how history has shaped the Marais and Paris, from the Middle Ages to the Second World War, including the French Revolution and the storming of the Bastille prison by the revolutionaries.

Here's the program. We'll walk along a route that starts near Notre-Dame and goes deep into the heart of the neighborhood. I'll tell you historical anecdotes that help you understand the evolution of Paris and the Marais. We'll walk for about 2 hours at your own pace. We'll talk about Paris, chat, and stop for a coffee or a drink if you feel like it. I'll give you my favorite restaurant recommendations. If you'd like, we'll include a tasting during the tour: baguette, croissant, cheese, wine, whatever you like. In short, I'll tell you about "my" Marais. The tour ends at the picturesque Marché des Enfants Rouges.
