Richard Avedon at Cartier-Bresson

April 30 / 10:00 a.m. - 19h00

10€
Richard Avedon makes his grand return to the Henri Cartier-Bresson Foundation with In the American West, a series that shatters the clichés of the Wild West.

Forget the heroic cowboys: here, the faces of miners, drifters, and misfits capture a raw, vulnerable, and terribly human America. These portraits, set against a white backdrop, reveal a stark and magnetic truth, far removed from gilded legends.

To mark the 40th anniversary of this iconic work, the exhibition unveils for the first time in Europe the complete original images, accompanied by rare and previously unseen documents. A fascinating journey into Avedon's eye, where each glance tells a story of survival and dignity.
