The flea market on rue de Bretagne returns from January 26 to 28, 2024.
This emblematic event of Haut Marais will enliven the neighboring streets of Carreau du Temple and the Town Hall, including rue du Temple, de Bretagne, Turenne, Charlot, de Saintonge and de Normandie.
Professional and amateur second-hand dealers, as well as locals, will occupy the stands, adding a picturesque touch to the Marais and creating a unique atmosphere where each object has its story.
Traditionally held in November, the flea market on rue de Bretagne was exceptionally moved to January this year due to work.
Popular with lovers of retro aesthetics and collectors, it will bring together 350 stands along the streets of Bretagne, Picardie and du Temple.
This flea market, recognized both in Paris and abroad, offers a diversity of treasures, ranging from antique furniture to retro lighting, decorative objects, old books and vintage clothing.
The 2024 edition of the flea market is part of contemporary decoration trends, highlighting “Slow living” with timeless pieces and sober materials. Despite freezing temperatures forecast at 3°C on Friday, 2°C on Saturday and 7°C on Sunday, the promise of glorious sunshine on Friday adds a glimmer of warmth to this winter event. Despite the cold, this flea market offers a unique opportunity to discover treasures and enjoy a warm atmosphere in the heart of the Marais, from Friday 17 to Sunday 19 from 6 a.m. to 00 p.m.
Visitors will also be able to explore a space dedicated to second-hand toys on the town hall square, offering an inclusive experience for young people.
Since a protected space for children will be set up in the Town Hall Courtyard, offering budding sellers and collectors the opportunity to present vintage and non-vintage toys, books for young audiences and other charming finds. It will only be open on Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 16:30 p.m.
