In Paris-Centre (1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th arrondissements), the municipal elections of March 2026 confirm the dominance of the left, with the re-election of the incumbent mayor Ariel Weilat the head of his united left-wing list "Paris Centre is yours!". In the second round, his list obtained 50,69% of the votes (21,806 votes) and won 18 out of 23 seats on the municipal council.
The right wing, led by Aurélien Véron The Republicans' list, "Changing Central Paris with Aurélien Véron and Rachida Dati," came in second with 38,61% of the vote (16,612 votes) and 4 seats. The radical left-wing list of Cédric Panizzi ("The New Popular Paris Center") came in third with 10,70% of the vote (4,602 votes) and one seat.
The turnout was 64% of registered voters, i.e. 43,680 voters out of 68,127, with less than 1,5% of ballots being blank or invalid.
