On the occasion of the campaign for the municipal elections on March 15 and 22, le Marais Mood learned this terrible news: two out of three Parisian piafs have disappeared in the space of twenty years.
This revelation comes from the environmentalist candidate for Paris mayor David Belliard, Anne Hidalgo's competitor for City Hall, who came to meet the press on January 9 at Barricou, a bistro located in le Marais, in front of the Filles du Calvaire metro station.
Former deputy director of Sidaction and journalist at Alternatives économique, Belliard rolled out his program. The candidate from the Ecology for Paris list wants to stop building in Paris (he is against the shopping center project in the Gare du Nord, against the Triangle tower in the 2024th century and against the ZAC Bercy-Charenton). He is also opposed to the organization of the Olympic Games in XNUMX.
The magazine development director Economical alternative and leader of the environmental group on the Paris council wants to “renaturalize” (with more trees) and pedestrianize Paris, particularly around the 300 schools in the capital. “A study by the Respire association reveals that pollution levels there are worrying,” he says.
“The coming mandate is the last mandate for the climate, we must act very quickly to face what will happen in the next ten to fifteen years. Afterwards, it will be too late,” concludes the ecologist.
