Mont Blanc log by Yann Couvreur Pâtisserie

No consolation prize, the 2020 Christmas logs from our Marais pastry chefs, bakers and chocolatiers all deserve an exceptional place on the Marais Mood podium.

Because we had to choose carefully, here is a preview of our selection of gourmet, starry, artistic, traditional logs... all made with the know-how of artisans who have worked hard to delight our taste buds.

These 5 creations, as original as they are delicious, are already catching your eye in the window and are waiting for you in store, for delivery or even click-and-collect. Let yourself be surprised by their inventiveness!

Felicity according to PAIN DE SUCRE

Félicité, Tenderness, but also Winter Garden or Choc-choc, the creations of Pâtisserie Pain de Sucre lack neither crispness nor creaminess or better yet sun-drenched fruits which tantalize the taste buds.

The palate is softened by the flourless dark chocolate biscuit from the Félicité log, its crunchy hazelnut, its Victoria pineapple marmalade, before melting under its vaporous coconut cream and its lightly sweetened milk chocolate mousse.

The emblematic fox of YANN COUVREUR

Isatis, a white fox from the Arctic regions imagined by the pastry chef in pecan praline, curls up in a coat of chocolate snow where we can see its white chocolate footprints before succumbing to the log, a tasty composition of biscuit, crunchy pecan, mousse vanilla with a caramel-vanilla heart and maple syrup.

The 3 childhood treats from MAISON ALEPH

Because Christmas is also an opportunity to travel around the world of flavors, Myriam Sabet, pastry chef at Maison Aleph, wanted to take us back to childhood with her.

From his precious memories, 3 logs were born: Pure Pistache highlights Iranian pistachio, with its crispy pistachio praline and a pistachio caramel heart soaked in orange blossom water and bigarade.

The Cédrat Amande log prefers a light, rolled spoon biscuit, garnished with a citron and lemon marmalade and a ganache infused with green cardamom, all softened by the roundness of a Valencia almond ganache. .

The Noisette Halva log, more regressive, delights us with a soft, intense chocolate biscuit, rolled and garnished with a whipped hazelnut ganache and halva with a flowing heart of old-fashioned Piedmont hazelnut praline.

The magical trees at GLACERIE PARIS

Why settle for a log when you can enjoy a whole tree. Pardon ! of “two frozen trees to decorate according to your tastes”, created by David Wesmaël to awaken the creativity that lies dormant in each of us.

It is therefore up to us to choose 3 ice cream balls, which will personalize the almond and hazelnut praline ice cream base on a bed of almond, hazelnut and pine nut praline, topped with Vanilla Ice Cream from the best pods infused with grilled fir, enhanced a runny Caramel with Menton Lemon and Linden Honey.

Beauty in the Woods by MEERT

When the Pâtisserie confiserie Lille, for a long time Maraisienne, offers a limited edition log, it sends wood! And not just any one.

His Belle au Bois promises us dark chocolate from Peru and vanilla from Madagascar. If this vintage log passes you by, you can enjoy their 5 creations: Red fruits and Yuzu and raspberry on their soft almond biscuit.

The Vanilla Pecan on its chocolate biscuit punched with vanilla, the Safari on a chocolate biscuit and 66% Caribbean chocolate mousse or, for chocolate addicts, the Impératrice, gianduja mousse, creamy cream with hazelnut praline, hazelnut financier biscuit, crunchy hazelnut rock .

3 Belgian addresses in the Marais

3 Belgian addresses in the Marais

Whether they are Walloons or Flemish, the French love the Belgians for their energy and their communicative good humor. Here are some Belgian addresses firmly established in the Marais.

The Marais Jewish quarter in Paris

From the 13th century, the Marais was home to a Jewish community which remained there until its expulsion in the 14th century. Fleeing poverty and persecution, Jews from Eastern countries and those from Alsace settled there in the 19th century. Around rue des rosiers and Place Saint-Paul renamed Pletz…

With the artist Malacarne, we dive into the Big Blue

Why go to the sea when you can find it in the Marais, at the Menouar gallery, rue du Parc-Royal? Here, we dive directly into the Big Blue with the work of Malacarne, a post-impressionist artist of reflection, light and water whose brush caresses the surface of the sea.
