Founded in 1912, it was one of the first silent cinemas in Paris. Closed during the Second World War, it reopened its doors in the 1960s. Classified as an arthouse cinema.

Opened in 1939 under the name Radio-Cité-Bastille, this cinema screens newsreels. In 1961, it was renamed Le Bastille. In 1971, it became a screening room for X-rated films with a room of 475 seats. Since 1984, it has been a three-room complex.

The former 14 Juillet-Bastille was the first venue taken over by Marin Karmitz during the creation of the MK2 group in 1974.

Opened in 1934, this neighborhood cinema called Bastille Palace became, in the 1970s, a screening room for B films and X-rated films. Renamed Majestic Bastille in 1995, it is classified as an art house.
