Caffé Creole Dishes

Pushing the door of Caffé Créole means setting foot in Martinique or Guadeloupe, but at the gates of the Marais, very close to the Bastille. Here, since 2012, we have been tasting local flavors, black pudding, fish blaff, in a setting reminiscent of holidays in the West Indies, with its arranged rum bar and soul or jazzy playlist.

In the kitchen, Martinican chef Gabin Frédéric displays his talent to serve a blaff of sea bream for 18 euros, a chicken colombo for 16,50 euros or cod accras for 10 euros. Its coconut flan is a direct ticket to the Caribbean. With Francky Vincent, in the background, it's even better: go ahead Francky, it's good!

Subsidiary of La Créole on Boulevard Montparnasse – famous restaurant founded in 1955 which welcomed Joséphine Baker, Jacques Chirac and many other Parisian celebrities – Caffé Créole is more like a canteen, with a more “beach” atmosphere and evenings musicals hosted by singer Lindsy.

Thursday evenings are “dombrés parties”, with the traditional simmered flour dumpling. The maracuja arranged rum does the trick and the ti-punch is well packed. You can also leave with arranged rum at 30 euros per 1 liter bottle. Starter-main course or main course-dessert formula at €13,90.
