In Paris-Centre, the participatory budget vote is now! Until September 26, residents of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th arrondissements are invited to vote on around twenty projects in order to decide between those which will receive municipal funding.

As the prospectus published by the city of Paris underlines, “it’s up to you to decide to transform your neighborhood”. It is possible to vote online at decider.paris.fr (allow a certain amount of time, because it is not a simple matter of three clicks) or in the physical ballot boxes deployed in Paris, particularly in town halls.

Of the twenty projects proposed for Paris Centre, only four concern the Marais. Marais Mood's recommendation: let's be chauvinistic, and vote for these!

The “repainting the gates of Place des Vosges” project for 250 euros consists of restoring the gates that have been abandoned for years (project no. 000).

Project No. 6 is entitled “Restoration of the facade of the Notre-Dame des Blancs Manteaux church”. In the street of the same name, in the 4th arrondissement, the aim is to give a facelift to this 2th century building which really needs it. Estimated budget: XNUMX million euros.

Proposed by the parents' association FCPE, project no. 15 is as much a matter of urgency as it is common sense. Her name ? “Renovated toilets for students at Victor Hugo college”. This involves bringing the toilets of the two sites of this college, located at 102, rue Vieille-du-Temple and 11, rue Barbette, in the 3rd arrondissement, up to standard. No less than 400 students currently use outdated toilets. Budget: 300 euros.

Finally, the “Fauconnier-Ave Maria School: an Oasis courtyard for the well-being of all” project concerns the redevelopment of the two adjoining schoolyards in order to transform them into oases of freshness thanks to water points, coverings clear on the floors, creation of shaded spaces (project no. 16). The budget for this work amounts to 700 euros.
