At the helm of the oldest amateur dance school in Paris, Antoine Carrance continues the work initiated by his mother with the same credo: firmness but kindness. And professionalism! It was she, in fact, who created the Marais Dance Center in the 1970s, which has now become an institution.

With four hundred classes per week, one hundred dance teachers (classical, funk, flamenco, salsa, oriental, African and so on) but also singing, yoga, floor barre and even kravmaga teachers, its establishment, located in a private mansion, is a hive that is always full. Some teachers are stars (Mia Frye, Armande Altaï, Leïla Haddad, etc.) and people come from all over Paris to attend their classes, which are aimed at children and adults alike.

A jack of all trades and an enlightened amateur, Antoine Carrance himself is an accomplished tap dancer who plays the piano and sings. In short, he is the man for the job. Or, as we say in English: “the right man for the right job”!
