Alina Pinsky, a Russian gallery in the heart of the Marais

Alina Pinsky, already a recognized figure on the Moscow scene, is causing a sensation by opening her gallery at 11 rue Pastourelle, at the end of 2025, in the heart of the Marais.

In a bright 140 m² space, located in the same courtyard as the Rabouan Moussion gallery, Alina Pinsky intends to strengthen the bridges between Europe, France and Russia, faithful to her conviction that art is first and foremost a space for dialogue.

Art historian and gallery owner Alina Pinsky, a graduate of the Moscow Academy of Fine Arts, founded her gallery in 2017 with the ambition of creating a space dedicated to both contemporary art and design. A Francophone with a deep connection to French culture, she drew inspiration early on from French post-war design and art. The opening of a space in Paris is a natural extension of this connection.

Her first exhibition at her new Parisian gallery, "Searching Eye," which closed on January 7, 2026, offered a captivating journey across several generations: from magical realism to abstraction, the works of major figures such as Igor Chelkovsky, Lev Povzner, and Tatiana Andreeva were presented alongside emerging artists like Igor Skaletsky and Evgeny Muzalevsky. Inspired by Diana Vreeland's phrase, "The eye has to travel," the curatorial approach encouraged the experience and questioning of the gaze.

The gallery plans four to five exhibitions annually, exploring the intersection of Soviet nonconformity and contemporary art. This new Parisian foothold aims to revitalize cultural dialogue and offer a unique gateway for collectors, enthusiasts, and art lovers, while simultaneously injecting a breath of fresh air into the Marais district.
