The flagship culinary festival of Carreau du Temple celebrates its 9th edition from 18 21 September 2025 in Die, entirely devoted to the Brazil as part of the France-Brazil Season.

After Australia, Portugal and Africa, the Food Temple this year reveals the richness of Brazilian cuisine, between workshops, markets, masterclasses and galleries accessible to all audiences.

The theme: a tribute to the diversity of flavors and the cultural vitality of Brazil, with a program spanning gastronomy, music, dance, projection, photography and literature (bookstore and meetings with authors).

This is an opportunity to experience the cuisines of the country of Carnival: those of the Brazilian Northeast, with their emblematic specialties such as tapioca (cassava pancake), moqueca (fish stew with coconut milk and dendê oil) and acarajé (fried black bean fritter stuffed with shrimp).

In Rio de Janeiro, feijoada (black bean and meat stew) reigns supreme, accompanied by pastel or bolinho de bacalhau. While in São Paulo, Italian and Japanese influences enrich the culinary scene with pizza são Paulo, coxinhas (chicken nuggets), and a variety of typical sushi.

Among the prestigious guests: the starred and self-taught chef Roberta Sudbrack, icon of Brazilian haute cuisine, and the talented Marcelo Schambeck (Porto Alegre), whose menu can be enjoyed to the rhythm of the maracatus (traditional drums and songs) performed by the musicians and singers of Tamaracaet.

Alessandra Montagne, an iconic Parisian chef and festival patron, will be there, of course. Renowned for her committed, anti-waste cuisine, she will be joined by the legendary Tia Surica and the Portela samba school for an exceptional feijoada lunch.

In their pop-up restaurants and bars, other figures of Brazilian cuisine will introduce the great classics, revisited with creativity: pão de queijo, moqueca de camarão, mariscada, chicken mineirinho, not to mention the most delicious Brazilian desserts. Workshops and masterclasses will also allow you to learn the iconic gestures, interact with the chefs and discover the rare ingredients of Brazil.

As for the highlights, there will be many: starting with the choreo-gastronomic feijoada hosted by Calixto Neto, followed by samba concerts, maracatu parades, exhibitions and citizen brunches.
