Brutus Creperie

On rue Saint-Antoine, on the corner of rue des Tournelles, a few meters from the Bastille, a new crêperie has just taken up residence in a refined decor, with pastel walls. Brutus – where you can drink raw, artisanal cider – is the new address of three Norman associates who are crepophiles and cider experts. Their two other Brutus restaurants are in Montparnasse – logical, it is the historic Breton district of Paris – and in the 17th, rue des Dames.

On the menu, the "Complète" ensures tradition, while the rest of the menu is innovative. The "Paulette" is for lovers of oriental flavors (chicken tagine, grilled eggplant, celery chips, lemon zest) while the "Jacqueline" speaks to vegetarians: fresh goat cheese, egg, marinated peppers, honey, nuts.

The cake is soft in the middle and crispy on the edges, just how we like it. In short, it's a success, especially since the raw materials and seasonal products are carefully "sourced".

Obviously, it’s impossible to leave without a wheat crepe. But which one to choose? The “Chocolat noisette”, a house specialty, or the “Martine” (homemade apple compote, chestnut cream, fromage blanc)? Am stram gram!
